Hi! My name is Marissa Halik, and I am so glad you are here! I am a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. I was born and raised here in Detroit Lakes and just recently moved back to the area with my husband, 13-month-old baby girl, and our fur daughter!

 

 I graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 2013, attended North Dakota State University and graduated with my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology and obtained my master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

 

After graduating with my master's degree, I began working at Sanford in Fargo, ND as an outpatient pediatric SLP. I have experience working in a private practice, outpatient clinic, rehab hospital, and school teletherapy. After the birth of our daughter, we decided to move closer to family which brought us back to Detroit Lakes (YAY!) and I began working for a teletherapy company based out of Fargo, ND providing speech services to rural ND schools.

For years I have been talking about the need for an outpatient speech therapy clinic in the Lakes area and it has been my dream since beginning graduate school to fill this gap and start my own business. I am eager to help your kids SHINE!
